Airplane parts maker Howmet Aerospace HWM.N down nearly 1% at about $202

Howmet to acquire Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing from Stanley Black & Decker for about $1.8 billion in cash

The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2026, will help Stanley Black & Decker significantly cut its debt

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing makes fasteners, fittings and other engineered components for aerospace and defense industries

"The acquisition of CAM is a major step in our strategy to build out our differentiated fastener portfolio," said Howmet CEO John Plant

Including session's moves, SWK shares down 4% YTD, while HWM up 86%
