Commercial real estate investment fund Alexander & Baldwin's ALEX.N shares surge 37% to $20.74 premarket
A group of investors will take the co private in an all-cash deal valued a $2.3 billion, ALEX said after market close on Monday
ALEX shareholders will receive $21.20 per share in cash, a 40% premium to the stock's closing price on Monday
Investor group includes commercial real estate firm MW Group, Blackstone Real Estate and California-headquartered DivcoWest
Up to last close, stock down 14.7%
