Shares in European renewable energy groups rise after a federal judge rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's ban on new wind energy projects

The president's order had effectively halted federal approvals of wind farms on land and sea, freezing dozens of clean energy projects in the region

"Positive for wind names as RWE and indirectly for Siemens Energy, Nordex," a local trader says

Germany's Nordex NDXG.DE and SMA Solar S92G.DE rise between 2.3% and 2.5% while Siemens Energy ENR1n.DE edges up around 1%

Denmark's Vestas VWS.CO and Oersted ORSTED.CO gain 2.8% and 3.3%, respectively

Portugal's EDP Renovaveis EDPR.LS is up 1.5%

RWE's RWEG.DE shares remain flat in early trading
