
LONDON, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Gold funds saw their largest weekly outflow ever in the week to Wednesday, Bank of America Global Research said in a research note published late on Thursday, a week in which the precious metal retreated sharply.
Gold funds saw outflows of $7.5 billion after record weekly inflows the week before, BofA said, citing data from EPFR.
Gold XAU= spiked to a record high of $4,381.21 an ounce on Monday, October 20, but on Friday was down about 8.5% from that peak at $4,006.
