The Financial Times reported on Sunday that Pfizer PFE.N is closing in on potential $7.3 bln takeover of MTSR, citing unidentified sources
PFE will acquire MTSR for $47.50 per share in cash, with an additional $22.50 per share contingent on the achievement of certain performance milestones
The $47.5 per share deal represents a 42.5% premium over MTSR's Friday closing price of $33.32; MTSR's market cap is $3.5 bln - according to data compiled by LSEG
