EUROPE BEFORE THE BELL: FUTURES SOFT, AUTOS IN FOCUS

European equity futures are a touch softer on Monday after a muted week, when the STOXX 600 .STOXX, DAX .GDAXI and FTSE .FTSE all fell slightly.

Euro STOXX 50 futures STXEc1 are down 0.2%. Futures on the DAX FDXc1, FTSE FFIc1 and CAC FCEc1 are lower by 0.1%-0.3%.

Markets remain focused on the path of U.S. monetary policy, after the Fed resumed its rate-cutting cycle last week.

Chair Jerome Powell is one of a number of Fed members due to give speeches this week, which could help provide more clues on the Fed's policy path, with markets almost fully pricing in cuts at both the central bank's remaining meetings this year.

Trump's latest immigration crackdown - raising the cost of H-1B worker visas - was also weighing on sentiment.

Autos could be in focus on Monday after Porsche P911_p.DE dialled back plans for its electric vehicle rollout, prompting the luxury sportscar maker and its parent Volkswagen VOWG.DE to slash their 2025 profit outlooks.
