LIVE MARKETS-STOXX inches up before Alaska summit

STOXX INCHES UP BEFORE ALASKA SUMMIT
European shares are edging higher this morning before talks between Trump and Putin that has reignited hopes of a ceasefire in Ukraine, even if a fully-agreed peace deal still appears some way off.
The STOXX 600 .STOXX is up 0.4%, while other major bourses are mostly higher.
"We do expect some progress in today's meeting and a path set for further discussions between Russia and the US," says Jefferies economist Mohit Kumar.
"If we move towards a peace deal, it would be positive for the European markets."
Miners .SXPP are leading gainers today, while defence stocks .SXPARO lag ahead of the meeting.
In corporate news, Pandora PNDORA.CO shares slumped 13% on weakening European sales.
