Schonfeld's flagship hedge fund lost 0.3% in July, source says

NEW YORK, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Schonfeld Strategic Advisors's flagship fund Strategic Partners was down 0.3% in July and is now up 5.8%% in the year, a source familiar with the matter said.

Its Fundamental Equity fund gained 1.4% last month and is up 7.1% in the year, this person added.

As a multi-strategy fund, Schonfeld is able to invest in different asset classes worldwide.

The S&P 500 .SPX rose 2.17% in July.
