ECONOMY

ISTAT releases June unemployment rate data (0800 GMT); July CPI flash data (0900 GMT); June producer prices data (1000 GMT).

COMPANIES

UNICREDIT CRDI.MI, BANCO BPM BAMI.MI

Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on Wednesday that UniCredit's investments in Russian sovereign bonds through its local unit expose the group to the risk of possible international sanctions.

He added that Rome had acted to defend the national interest by imposing tough conditions on the lender's failed bid for Banco BPM through its so-called "golden powers" aimed at shielding key assets.

MEDIOBANCA

(*) The investment bank on Thursday reported record annual results and said it is considering bringing forward by a month a shareholder vote on its bid for private bank Banca Generali BGN.MI.

The bank, which last month unveiled a plan to return 4.9 billion euros ($5.61 billion) to shareholders over the next three years, said it is ready to launch a new 400-million-euro tranche of its share buyback programme.

A shareholders' meeting of Delfin, the holding company of the family of late entrepreneur Leonardo Del Vecchio, will vote on Thursday on a proposal to divest all non-core assets, while holding on to the stake in EssilorLuxottica ESLX.PA, Il Sole 24 Ore reported on Thursday.

NEXI NEXI.MI

(*) The payments group said on Thursday it posted a 3.7% rise in its second-quarter core profit, slightly above a company-provided consensus, and confirmed its guidance for 2025. Nexi's core profit (EBITDA) for the period totalled 482.3 million euros ($551.51 million), ahead of the consensus of 480 million euros.

FINECOBANK FNK.MI

(*) The fintech bank posted on Thursday a second-quarter net profit of 153.6 million euros ($175.7 million), down 11.3% from 164.2 million euros a year earlier. The bank also said its net financial income for the same period fell 15.8% to 153.7 million euros, due to lower interest rates.

Conference call with analysts at 0930 GMT and online news conference at 1230 GMT.

STELLANTIS STLAM.MI

A Dutch court said on Wednesday that diesel cars sold by Opel, Peugeot, Citroen and DS - all of them controlled by the Franco-Italian carmaker - in the Netherlands from 2009 contained software designed to cheat emissions tests.

Stellantis denied the accusations and said it was considering "appropriate next steps" to defend its interests.

LOTTOMATICA LTMC.MI

(*) The betting group on Thursday confirmed its guidance for 2025 after posting half-year revenues up 21% to 1.129 billion and total bets up by the same amount to 21.8 billion.

PRYSMIAN PRY.MI

(*) The cable maker on Thursday increased its full-year core profit and cash generation forecasts following its acquisition of U.S. connectivity device manufacturer Channell, after beating expectations for first-half results.

IVECO IVG.MI/LEONARDO LDOF.MI

India's Tata Motors TAMO.NS will buy Iveco in a deal valued at 3.8 billion euros ($4.36 billion), the companies said on Wednesday, after the Italian truckmaker separately agreed to sell its defence business to Leonardo.

The aerospace and defence group said it agreed to buy the Iveco defence unit for an enterprise value of 1.7 billion euros ($1.95 billion). German defence group Rheinmetall later said it was in turn negotiating with Leonardo over potentially buying Iveco's military truck business.

Leonardo improved its 2025 guidance for orders, free cash flow and net debt, after posting "solid" results for the first six months of the year.

FINCANTIERI FCT.MI

The shipbuilder CEO said on Wednesday that the group will not suffer an impact from US tariffs on steel and alluminium mainly thanks to its flexibility.

GEOX GEO.MI

The group said on Wednesday it confirmed its guidance for 2025 results after reporting figures for the first six months of the year.

FERRARI RACE.MI

The group said on Thursday it had extended the term of Team Principal of Scuderia Ferrari Frédéric Vasseur - who joined at the beginning of 2023 - with a multiple-year contract who will serve as team principal for the upcoming Formula 1 seasons.

The group releases H1 results, followed by conference call (1200 GMT).
