
July 14 (Reuters) - New Zealand shares inched lower on Monday, with investors remaining on edge over the future of global trade as they weigh whether U.S. President Donald Trump's August 1 tariff deadline will stand.
The S&P/NZX 50 index .NZ50 had edged 0.1% lower as of 2227 GMT, while Wall Street futures were down with the S&P 500 ESc1 and Nasdaq futures NQc1 shedding 0.5% and 0.6% respectively.
Australian markets will resume trading on Monday, with the benchmark S&P ASX 200 index .AXJO closing 0.1% lower in the previous session.
