
HANOI, July 3 (Reuters) - Vietnam stocks .VNI rose 0.5% to 1,391 on Thursday, their highest level since April 2022, hours after Donald Trump announced that the United States had reached a trade deal with the Southeast Asian country.
Trump said the United States will place a lower-than-promised 20% tariff on many Vietnamese exports and a 40% levy on trans-shipments through Vietnam from third countries.
