
July 2 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened flat on Wednesday as investors assessed weaker-than-expected U.S. private jobs data, while tracking signs of any progress on U.S. trade talks as the July tariff deadline nears.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.04% at 26,867.18 points.
