UK Stocks-Factors to watch on June 30

- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Monday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.01%.

US-UK TRADE DEAL: The trade deal signed between U.S. President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, lowering some tariffs on imports from Britain, has come into effect, the British government said on Monday.

UK BUSINESS CONFIDENCE: Confidence levels among British employers hit a fresh nine-year high this month as companies became more optimistic about the outlook for the economy, according to a survey published on Monday.

INVESTMENT ADVICE: Britain's financial regulator said on Monday it will make it easier for investment firms to give customers support with their pensions and investments, a move broadly welcomed by finance firms who had complained about the current strict rule book.

GSK: U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan said on Friday she is launching an investigation into British pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline's GSK.L decision to discontinue a widely used asthma inhaler for children.

WOOD GROUP: Wood Group WG.L said on Friday Britain's financial watchdog had begun an investigation into the oilfield services provider, following the company's announcement last year of an independent accounting review related to some contracts and charges.

COMMODITIES: Oil prices fell, Gold reversed course and edged higher, while Copper prices on the London Metal Exchange and Shanghai Futures Exchange traded in a range on Monday.

The main UK stock indexes climbed on Friday, with midcaps closing at an over three-year high, driven by global optimism over earnings, trade policies and easy monetary policy.
