June 26 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Thursday, helped by gains in mining shares, while investors weighed U.S. President Donald Trump's latest comments on the Federal Reserve Chair.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.07% at 26,587.7 points.
