Abbott and Dexcom rise after Kennedy says HHS to launch campaign on wearables

Shares of continuous glucose-monitoring device makers Abbott ABTN and Dexcom DXCM.O rise after U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stated, "We're about to launch one of the biggest advertising campaigns in HHS (Health and Human Services) history to encourage Americans to use wearables."

ABT rose 3.5% to $137.94, while DXCM jumped 7.7% to $85.99, in afternoon trading

"We think that wearables are a key to the MAHA agenda, Making America Healthy Again and my vision is that every American is wearing a wearable within four years" - Kennedy

Including session moves, ABT and DXCM have gained 22.1% and 10.8%, respectively, YTD
