ALL ABOUT OIL
If the only data point you had today was that Brent was down 2.6% LCOc1 after a recent rise, you'd still have been able predict quite a lot of the market moves we've seen in the first hour of European trading.
The Stoxx 600 is up 0.5% .STOXX with Britain's oil heavy FTSE, .FTSE up a more modest 0.3%, underperforming Germany's DAX, up 0.8% .GDAXI
Sector-wise, travel and leisure, up 1.3%, .SXTP is at the top of the charts, oil and gas stocks, down 0.5%, are at the bottom. .SXEP
Not too much drama on the single stock front either, so traders can concentrate on agonising about how much derisking to do ahead of the weekend.
