June 16 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Monday, lifted by information technology shares, with investors shifting focus from the Middle-East tensions to this week's Group of Seven summit and U.S. Federal Reserve policy meeting.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.3% at 26,576.26 points.
