US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St opens higher after long weekend on Trump's trade reprieve
May 27 (Reuters) - Wall Street opened higher on Tuesday after U.S. President Donald Trump dialed back his threat of tariffs on EU imports, defusing trade tensions between the United States and the European bloc and boosting investor confidence.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI rose 246.0 points, or 0.59%, at the open to 41849.04. The S&P 500 .SPX rose 51.3 points, or 0.88%, at the open to 5854.07, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC rose 277.2 points, or 1.48%, to 19014.436 at the opening bell.
