Bayer up after report it plans to settle Roundup lawsuits, seek Monsanto bankruptcy

The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday citing sources that the pharmaceutical group is preparing a plan to settle some of its mass lawsuits over Roundup weed killer in Missouri and may seek bankruptcy for its Monsanto unit
"Final desperate move," says a local trader
"We do not comment on the media report. We have always said that we are considering all options to significantly contain litigation by the end of 2026," Bayer told Reuters in an email
The stock is at the top of Germany's blue-chip index .GDAXI
