
April 17 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Thursday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.47%.
SAINSBURY'S :Sainsbury's SBRY.L reported a 7.2% rise in annual profit but forecast little or no growth in its new financial year.
DELIVEROO: Deliveroo ROO.L reported a 7% rise in orders in the quarter.
BP: BP said it loaded the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from its Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) project offshore Mauritania and Senegal.
BARCLAYS: Barclays BARC.L said it sold part of its British payments unit to Brookfield Asset Management.
MAN GROUP: Man Group EMG.L said that its assets under management fell by about $5.6 billion in the two weeks to April 14, amid fallout from U.S. President Donald Trump's trade tariffs.
ALPHAWAVE: Alphawave IP Group AWE.L said that it was unable to provide a financial forecast for 2025 or beyond due to "rapidly developing nature" of U.S. tariffs.
RENTOKIL: Rentokil Initial RTO.L said that its organic revenue grew 1.8% in the first quarter.
FIDELITY JAPAN: Fidelity Japan Trust FJV.L said that it has started a review to consider its future as it expects majority of its shareholders may not approve a proposal for it to continue as an investment firm.
COMMODITIES: Oil prices extended gains, Shanghai copper firmed and gold eased after hitting an all-time high earlier with tariff uncertainty boosting bullion's safe-haven demand.
EX-DIVS: Travis Perkins TPK.L, Dowlais Group DWL.L, Rolls-Royce Holdings RR.L, London Stock Exchange Group LSEG.L, BAE Systems BAES.L, Antofagasta ANTO.L, Fresnillo FRES.L and Costain Group COSG.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out on Thursday.
