US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall Street opens slightly higher as investors assess possible tariff exemptions

April 15 (Reuters) - Wall Street's main indexes edged up at the open on Tuesday, as investors assessed the possibility of tariff relief for the auto sector after President Donald Trump floated the idea of more exemptions

The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI rose 3.0 points, or 0.01%, at the open to 40,527.82. The S&P 500 .SPX rose 6.0 points, or 0.11%, at the open to 5,411.99​, while the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC rose 10.9 points, or 0.06%, to 16,842.393 at the opening bell.
