
April 9 - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 down 2.35%.
ASSURA: A KKR-Stonepeak KKR.N consortium and Assura AGRP.L approved a 1.61 billion pounds ($2.06 billion)deal to buy the company, while the British healthcare REIT rejected the 1.5 billion pound($1.9 billion) cash-and-stock takeover proposal from industry peer Primary Health Properties PHP.L.
PAGE GROUP: British recruiter PageGroup PAGE.L announced a 15-million-pound ($19.3 million) cost reduction programme, but did not issue a financial forecast, after reporting a 9% drop in first-quarter earnings on uncertain global economic conditions.
SAGA: British holiday group Saga SAGA.L estimated its annual profit for the year to be lower than last year, hurt by higher financing costs in 2025.
TARIFF: British finance minister Rachel Reeves will hold tariff crisis talks with bosses from Hargreaves Lansdown HRGV.SG, Legal & General LGEN.L, Lloyds Banking Group LLOY.L and M&G MNG.L, Sky News reported.
ANGLO AMERICAN: Peabody Energy BTU.N said it was reviewing all options regarding its $3.78 billion acquisition agreement with Anglo American AAL.L.
OFFSHORE GAS: The US has revoked two offshore natural gas projects licenses between Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela, held by Shell SHEL.L, BP BP.L, and Trinidad's National Gas Company NGCTT.UL, Trinidad's Prime Minister Stuart Young said.
COMMODITIES: Oil prices dropped to their lowest in more than four years, while gold rose on a weak dollar and base metal prices in China fell, with copper hitting an eight-month low.
