
April 1 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday, hurt by losses in heavily-weighted financials, as investors adopted a cautious stance ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump's planned announcement of reciprocal tariffs on Wednesday.
At 9:34 a.m. ET (1434 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 0.3% at 24,844.05 points.
