APA Corp rises after report says it reduced nearly 15% of workers

Shares of U.S.-based oil producer APA Corp APA.O up 2.3% at $20.65

Company has laid off about 300 employees globally to reduce costs, Bloomberg News reports

This amounts to between 10% and 15% of the company's workforce worldwide, the report says, citing an emailed response to questions

APA made the reductions in January and late February, it says
