Agricultural stocks fall as EU to impose counter-tariffs on US goods

Shares of agricultural commodities traders fall as the European Union is expected to impose counter tariffs on U.S. goods worth 26 billion euros ($28.35 billion) starting next month

The proposed target products include industrial and agricultural products

"Ag chem stocks are down due to the European Union's proposed tariffs, which include many agricultural products ... there are fears this will hurt U.S. farmers and cause them to cut back on agri inputs, namely fertilizers and crop chemicals," said Morningstar analyst Seth Goldstein

FMC Corp FMC.N down 4.4%, Mosaic MOS.N falls ~1%, Intrepid Potash IPI.N down 1.1%%, Bunge Global BG.N falls 2.7%

Corteva CTVA.N down ~2% and Archer-Daniels-Midland ADM.N falls 2.3%

Shares of Canada-based Nutrien NTR.TO down ~1%
