CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as US tariffs loom large

Feb 28 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Friday, hurt by metal mining shares, as worries over looming tariffs overshadowed domestic and U.S. economic data.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 0.4% at 25,032.07.
