Jan 22 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening flat on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.03%
* EASYJET: British airline Easyjet EZJ.L reported a smaller operating loss in its first quarter on easing fuel costs and strong passenger demand for travel and its holiday packages.
* QUILTER: British wealth manager Quilter QLT.L reported a rise in fourth-quarter managed assets, driven by nearly 2 billion pounds ($2.47 billion) in net inflows from its wealthy clients.
* J D WETHERSPOON: British pub group J D Wetherspoon JDW.L said its like-for-like sales rose 5% in the 25 weeks to Jan. 19, helped by strong demand for its food and drinks during the holiday season.
* ENQUEST: UK's EnQuest ENQ.L said it would acquire Harbour Energy's HBR.L business in Vietnam, as the North Sea-foucused energy company aims to grow its international operating footprint.
* BUDGET DEFICIT: Britain ran a bigger-than-expected budget deficit in December, swelled by debt interest and a one-off purchase of military homes, data showed on Wednesday that underlined the fiscal pressure faced by finance minister Rachel Reeves.
* RACHEL REEVES ON CMA: British finance minister Rachel Reeves said the chair of the country's antitrust regulator decided to step down after recognising that the agency needed to be headed up by someone who shared the government's "strategic direction".
* RIO TINTO: Rio Tinto RIO.L is betting that U.S. President Donald Trump will finally give the green light to its giant copper mine in Arizona, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday.
* OIL: Oil prices were little changed.
* GOLD: Gold prices climbed to a fresh 11-week peak.
* METALS: Most base metals fell.
