MEXICO CITY, March 26 (Reuters) - Mexican pipeline operator Esentia Energy ESENTIAI.MX said on Thursday its board approved a $205 million expansion that should add approximately 295 million cubic feet per day of gas transport capacity, representing a 22% increase.
The Phase II project is part of a five-year expansion plan aiming for 660 million cubic feet per day of total capacity additions and is expected to start commercial operations in the first half of 2028.

• "Phase II is a continuation of our expansion plan focused on meeting growing demand from industrial development and data center growth in central Mexico," CEO Daniel Bustos said.
• The project includes installing two new turbocompressor units at compression stations in Chihuahua and Aguascalientes, where construction is already underway.
• Siemens Energy ENR1n.DE will carry out additional improvements to auxiliary services and other compression sites throughout the system, Esentia said.
