March 6 (Reuters) - American sprinter Fred Kerley has been suspended for missing three out-of-competition drug tests within a 12-month period, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) announced on Friday.
The violation, known as "whereabouts failures" under anti-doping rules, carries a maximum two-year ban.
Kerley, 30, won silver in the 100 metres at the Tokyo Olympics and bronze in Paris last summer. He also captured the 100-metre world title in 2022 and has five world championship medals overall.
