MEXICO CITY, Feb 26 - Mexican broadcaster Grupo Televisa TLEVISACPO.MX, the world's largest producer of Spanish-language content, on Thursday narrowed its losses from the year before, while grappling with weaker revenue across its business units.
The company posted a loss of 7.68 billion pesos ($807.9 million), versus a loss of 9.86 billion pesos a year earlier.
Revenues for the last three months of 2025 shrunk 4.5% to 14.55 billion pesos, hit by the loss of video service users in its satellite TV business.
Revenues in the segment fell 16.8% in the quarter versus a year earlier. Revenues were also down in its "residential" and "business" units.
Televisa also noted that it largely completed the integration of the Cable and Sky business units, which it said allowed for cost efficiencies.
Results landed below expectations of analysts polled by LSEG, who had on average predicted that Televisa would return a narrow dollar-denominated profit of $1.52 million, from revenues of $807 million.
Televisa makes the bulk of its revenues from video, broadband and mobile telecom services, and a quarter from its satellite TV unit, which broadcasts exclusive content such as sports and concerts.
Its most popular broadcasts include Mexican soaps, or telenovelas, and major national and international soccer tournaments.
