FRANKFURT, Feb 23 (Reuters) - Germany's banking industry on Monday voiced anxiety about President Donald Trump's tariff plans for threatening economies in both the United States and Europe.
"I am concerned about the new tariff turmoil coming out of Washington," Heiner Herkenhoff, CEO of the German Bankers Association, said in an emailed statement.
The uncertainty "is weighing on companies and threatens to jeopardize economic development on both sides of the Atlantic," he added.
