US provided information for operation targeting 'El Mencho,' Mexican embassy in US says

WASHINGTON, Feb 22 (Reuters) - The Mexican Embassy in Washington said on Sunday that the United States provided information for a military operation that resulted in the death of Mexican drug lord Nemesio Oseguera "El Mencho."
"In addition to central military intelligence efforts, complementary information was provided by U.S. authorities within the framework of bilateral coordination and cooperation with the United States," the embassy said in a post on X.
