Trump considers Treasury official John Hurley for ambassador to Germany, FT reports

- The Trump administration is considering appointing a top Treasury official as U.S. ambassador to Germany, the Financial Times reported on Friday.

According to the FT report, three senior U.S. officials said John Hurley, the Treasury under-secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence, was interviewing with the White House for senior ambassadorial positions, including for envoy to Berlin.
