On Friday, the Statistical Office will release preliminary data on inflation in Poland for January. Analysts polled by Reuters estimate that it has slowed to 1.9% year-on-year from 2.4% in December 2025.
POWER CABLE OUTAGE
An outage on the 600-megawatt Poland-Sweden power cable under the Baltic Sea was probably not caused intentionally and has not impacted the security of the system, Polish power grid operator PSE said on Thursday.
GRUPA AZOTY
Poland's Grupa Azoty ATTP.WA has dismissed CEO Andrzej Skolmowski, in the role since June 2025, and two other management board members, the chemicals group said on Thursday.
WIBOR
A mortgage contract clause containing a reference to the Warsaw Interbank Offered Rate (WIBOR) does not, in principle, work to the detriment of the consumer, the European Union's top court said on Thursday, in a boost for Polish banks.
