RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin said on Wednesday that he hopes the "good chemistry" between Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and U.S. President Donald Trump could lead to a solution about Washington's 50% tariffs on shipments of most of his country's goods.
Speaking to reporters, Alckmin added he has no information about a date for a potential meeting between the two leaders after they briefly met on Tuesday at the U.N. General Assembly.
Trump said he plans to meet next week with Lula, adding that they had "excellent chemistry" during the short encounter.
