Rubio, Syrian leader discuss missing Americans during meeting, US State Department says
WASHINGTON, Sept 22 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa met in New York on Monday and discussed efforts to locate missing Americans, the U.S. State Department said in a statement.
The pair also discussed counterterrorism efforts and "the importance of Israel-Syria relations in achieving greater regional security," the statement said.
