Vietjet takes delivery of first Boeing 737 jet as part of $32 bln deal
HANOI, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Vietnamese airline Vietjet VJC.HM said on Monday it has taken delivery of the first Boeing 737-8 plane under its $32 billion order for 200 Boeing 737 jets BA.N.
Vietnamese President Luong Cuong attended a delivery ceremony in Seattle, during his visit to the United States to attend the UN General Assembly, the company said in a statement.
The budget airline said the aircraft order is part of a plan to expand its global network.
Reuters reported last week that the delivery was set to take place.
