Ukraine backers, Zelenskiy to call Trump after Thursday Paris meeting
PARIS, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Several European leaders, including France's Emmanuel Macron and Ukraine's President Volodymr Zelenskiy, will call U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday afternoon after a summit to discuss security guarantees, the French presidency said on Wednesday.
Some 30 leaders will take stock "of the progress of discussions on security guarantees for Ukraine, as a necessary pre-requisite for any future peace agreement, and to decide further steps, in order to continue to support Ukraine and to bring Russia to the negotiating table," according to a concept note seen by Reuters sent to attendees.
