Swiss government backs furlough relief in response to US tariffs
BERLIN, Sept 3 (Reuters) - The Swiss government said it has decided to support a parliamentary initiative to urgently extend furlough subsidies in response to higher U.S. import tariffs following a meeting on Wednesday.
"When discussing the economic impact of additional U.S. tariffs on the Swiss economy, it became clear that an overall economic slump is currently not foreseeable," the Swiss federal council added in a statement.
