EU-Mercosur trade deal going in the right direction, says French trade minister
PARIS, Sept 3 (Reuters) - The EU-Mercosur trade deal is going in the right direction, French Trade Minister Laurent Saint-Martin said on Wednesday in a post on social media platform X, adding that France would examine the proposal in detail
"Today, the Commission presented a package on the trade agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur countries, which notably includes the principle of a strengthened safeguard clause for agricultural products. This is a step in the right direction", he said.
