Brazil retailer Americanas taps Fernando Dias Soares as CEO

SAO PAULO, Aug 25 (Reuters) - Brazilian retailer Americanas AMER3.SA announced on Monday that its board had approved Fernando Dias Soares as the company's new Chief Executive Officer starting in October, according to a securities filing.

Soares, a former executive for Anheuser-Busch InBev ABI.BR and Domino's Pizza who joined Americanas in 2024 as vice-president of operations, will replace Leonardo Coelho as CEO.

Coelho will join Americanas' finance committee, the firm said in the filing.
