Putin stops off in Russia's Far East after Trump meeting, TASS reports

MOSCOW, Aug 16 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin visited the region of Chukotka in Russia's far east on his way back from a summit with U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska, the TASS state news agency reported on Saturday.
Chukotka is separated from Alaska by the Bering Strait. Putin met with the regional governor there, TASS said.
