WTW adds Intact's Kharkavets as head of claims in North America

July 7 - (The Insurer) - WTW has hired Alena Kharkavets, former supply chain vice president at Intact Financial Corporation, as head of claims in North America.

Kharkavets will work with clients to advance their claims analytics, embedding data science and artificial intelligence into claims processes to create better claims outcomes for carriers and their customers.

She has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, holding several positions in her 18-year tenure at Intact.

"(Kharkavets's) deep expertise, technical skills and commitment to data-driven decision making will be major assets to our clients, as we continue to strengthen our position as the leading consulting and technology solutions provider for the insurance industry," said Laura Doddington, head of personal and commercial lines consulting and technology, North America at WTW.

In June, WTW hired Ryan Pischke, former president of central property and casualty at USI, as growth leader for Michigan and Ohio within its corporate risk and broking segment in North America and appointed Arch's Farah Ismail as senior director, head of commercial lines within its insurance consulting and technology business in North America.
