1952 SPAIN’S ALCARAZ SURVIVES EARLY SCARE TO DEFEAT RUBLEV

Spanish number two seed Carlos Alcaraz played through an early scare to send 14th seed Andrey Rublev out 6-7(5) 6-3 6-4 6-4 in the fourth round.

Britain’s Cameron Norrie battled past Chile’s Nicolas Jarry in a gruelling five-set match lasting over four hours, winning 6-3 7-6(4) 6-7(7) 6-7(5) 6-3.

1641 SABALENKA BATTLES PAST MERTENS

Top seed Aryna Sabalenka had to fight to beat Belgium’s tricky 24th seed Elise Mertens 6-3 7-6(4) in just over 90 minutes and advance to the quarter-finals.

1553 SIEGEMUND BEATS SIERRA

Germany's Laura Siegemund ended lucky loser Solana Sierra's dream run as she beat the Argentinian 6-3 6-2 to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the first time.

1445 PAVLYUCHENKOVA BEATS KARTAL

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the second time in her career, knocking out British hope Sonay Kartal 7-6(3) 6-4.

1255 FRITZ THROUGH AS THOMPSON RETIRES

American fifth seed Taylor Fritz progressed to the quarter-finals after Jordan Thompson retired due to injury with Fritz leading 6-1 3-0.

1230 RAIN STOPS PLAY

Play has been suspended on the outside courts due to rain. Matches on Centre Court and Court One are continuing with the roofs closed.

1202 KHACHANOV ADVANCES TO LAST EIGHT

Russian 17th seed Karen Khachanov cruised past Poland's Kamil Majchrzak 6-4 6-2 6-3 to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals for the second time.

Play began under overcast skies at the All England Club, with the temperature hovering around 21 degrees Celsius (69.8°F) and expected to climb to 23 degrees Celsius later in the day.
