July 2 - (The Insurer) - CFC Underwriting transferred the remit of its CEO role to group CEO Louise O'Shea earlier this year, with incumbent Andy Holmes transitioning to the role of group capacity director.
A CFC spokesperson told The Insurer the move was designed to better structure the business as it expands its global footprint, and products and services.
"The responsibilities of the CFC Underwriting CEO role and associated board seat have been integrated into the remit of our group CEO, Louise O’Shea. This strategic realignment positions us for the next critical stage of growth," said the spokesperson.
O'Shea took on the role of group CEO in January 2024, at the same time that Holmes assumed the role of CEO of CFC Underwriting.
In his newly-created role, Holmes is responsible for strengthening and expanding CFC's carrier base, as well as diversifying its syndicate capital.
Prior to the CEO role, Holmes had served as chief underwriting officer. He was succeeded in this role by former Axis global head of cyber Dan Trueman until February of this year. CFC has since named long-time Markel International executive Nick Line to take up the CUO role in 2026.
