BMS Re adds Swiss Re's Seifert as managing director of strategy and advisory

July 1 - (The Insurer) - BMS Re has hired Janine Seifert, former Caribbean market head at Swiss Re, as managing director of strategy and advisory, based out of its Miami office.

Seifert has more than 18 years of experience. She has held reinsurance roles at Swiss Re and Munich Re focused on Latin America and the Caribbean.

In February, BMS Re CEO Brad Melvin told The Insurer that it was looking to get back on the front foot through new hires, including Howden Re’s Genna Biddell and Jonathan Hughes as it focuses on client retention and also doubles down in the U.S. regionals and programs space while expanding its specialty capabilities.
