World acquires five insurance agencies in Louisiana and one in Maine
June 25 - (The Insurer) - World Insurance Associates has broadened its presence in Louisiana through the acquisition of five entities across the state, along with another acquisition in Maine.
The terms of these transactions were not disclosed.
On March 1, 2025, World acquired the businesses of Insurance Unlimited of Louisiana, Erwin Insurance Agency, Burke & Burke Insurance Marketing, Courtney Insurance Services and US Principal Insurance.
These Louisiana-based agencies offer property, casualty, and employee benefit insurance products to businesses across various industries, as well as to individuals.
Additionally, World announced the acquisition of Portland-based Healey & Associates, which closed on May 1, 2025.
Healey has been providing employee benefits to clients throughout New England since 1982, specializing in employee benefits solutions for the non-profit sector.
