Ascot hires CNA's Goldman as global head of distribution

June 25 - (The Insurer) - Ascot Group has hired Steven Goldman, former president of global management and professional liability at CNA Insurance, as its global head of distribution.
Based in Connecticut, Goldman will join Ascot on July 7 and report to Jonathan Zaffino, group CEO and president.
Goldman has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. Before CNA, he held roles at Chubb and AIG.
In this newly created role, Goldman will develop, lead and execute Ascot's global distribution strategy.
"With the introduction of this role, Ascot is strengthening our commitment to best-in-class service, expanding our global market presence and deepening our long-standing relationships with existing broker partners," Zaffino said.
Last week, The Insurer reported that Ascot appointed Rosalind Brewer, Martin Flanagan and Robert Sewell to its board of directors, pending regulatory approval.
