UK to make 'record cash investment' in national health service
LONDON, June 11 (Reuters) - British finance minister Rachel Reeves announced on Wednesday in her first multi-year spending review an extra 29 billion pounds ($39.1 billion) per year for the day-to-day spending of the country's National Health Service (NHS).
Reeves said in a speech to parliament that her Labour government would increase real terms day-to-day spending in the NHS by 3% per year, describing the move as a "record cash investment".
