Thailand remains committed bilateral talks with Cambodia over border issue, foreign ministry says
BANGKOK, June 7 (Reuters) - Thailand is committed to holding bilateral talks with Cambodia on June 14 to resolve a border dispute between the two countries, the Thai foreign ministry said on Saturday.
The talks were agreed before both countries began reinforcing military deployments following a deadly clash last month.
The Thai side reaffirms its readiness to utilise bilateral mechanisms, including the Joint Border Committee that is scheduled to meet on June 14, to resolve the dispute, foreign ministry spokesman Nikorndej Balankura told reporters.
